Who we are
Cunningham Fluid Power was founded by "Butch" Cunningham in 1993, and his legacy continues to thrive. This full-service distributor and designer of hydraulic systems boasts a reputation that extends far beyond its local market, serving clients throughout Florida as well as nationally and internationally. The company is particularly renowned for its exceptional customer service, earning a strong standing as one of the few firms in the Fluid Power industry capable of diagnosing and resolving issues, even with older products that have been discontinued by the original manufacturer.
UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA WIND MACHINE
We engineered and built the "Bad Wolf" wind machine, completely powered by hydraulics, which replicates hurricane-force winds to enable researchers to examine the impacts of hurricane and tornado winds on structures, agriculture, and more.
THEME PARK POWER UNIT
We engineered and implemented a redundant system of five 150 hp hydraulic power units that consistently alternate to ensure reliability, paired with a kidney cooling/heating/filtration system. This setup enables the hydraulic oil to operate under optimal temperature and cleanliness conditions.
THEME PARK CYLINDER REPAIR
We successfully repaired and installed a massive hydraulic cylinder with a 12.65" bore, 8.5" rod, 13'-9" stroke, and a pressure rating of 3,000 psi, weighing in at 12,100 lbs, for a theme park. Therefore, there is no task that's "too big" for us when it comes to the repair of hydraulic components.
HORSE WALKER
We crafted, constructed, and installed a full 60-foot, six-horse walkers for a nearby farm.
